Rebranding the home of the Aegon Classic

When we refreshed the brand for the prestigious Edgbaston Priory Club, we needed to emphasise their heritage, while modernising their identity. The club’s a place for people of all ages to exercise, relax and socialise, so their identity had to appeal to new and younger customers as well as longstanding members.

Their old phoenix logo remembered a key moment in their history when their clubhouse burned down and was rebuilt in the 1960s. We didn’t want their brand to lose this part of their story. So, to give their established logo a facelift that would bring their identity up to date, we rebalanced their phoenix, gave them a cleaner typeface and created all the tools and templates they’d need to keep their communications consistent – including a brand new website.

Contemporary yet true to their roots, Edgbaston Priory Club’s new brand stands for their centuries of heritage and the world-class facilities they’re renowned for today.
